Chicago Women's Park Engagement Session - Kathleen and Scott

Engagement portrait in the rain at the Chicago Women’s Park & Garden.

About the couple

Wanted to share Kathleen & Scott’s engagement photos since their original wedding date was last weekend. True for all of my couples, the pandemic is the last thing any of us expected. Grateful I was able to capture their fall engagement session last year, and I’m looking forward to the day when we can all celebrate again. Can’t wait to document their wedding in 2021, and happy to be a part of it!

In short, Kathleen & Scott are absolute troopers with an easy going chemistry. You’ll notice the umbrella in many of the photos. It rained off and on nearly the entire time. They’re both exceptionally busy people, and especially Kathleen who’s attending medical school. Dates were limited and we had to make it work. I applaud them for rolling with the less-than-ideal weather. I actually have a selection of fun umbrellas expressly for this situation. Aside from the rain, I had a fantastic time working with them. They were fun, relaxed with each other, and open to ideas. It was unfortunate they weren’t able to have their wedding this year at Revel Motor Row, but I’m excited for next year!

Shout out to Danielle Kuhn of Ohana Events for introducing me to the couple!
