Tam and Brandon’s wedding day was full of color, creativity, laughter and love. After photographing them during one of the more unique engagement sessions I’ve captured, I just knew their wedding day would be blast!

Photographing a Carnivale Chicago Wedding

Their summer wedding took place at Carnivale Chicago, which is filled to the brim with vibrant South American decor, and paired perfectly with the energy of the day. I truly loved documenting both the traditional and non-traditional aspects of their event. The lively horah dance later in the evening honored Brendan’s Jewish heritage, while Tam turned tradition on its head by wearing a stunning red wedding dress, and the bridesmaids wearing white. I gotta admit it was awesome.

Having a background in theatre, it’s evident how comfortable Tam and Brendan are in front of the camera. These two are an absolute joy to be around and it shows! They aren’t afraid to be a little quirky, and allow their authentic selves shine through. I think we all need a little more of that energy.

I cannot thank Tam & Brendon enough for allowing me to be a part of their big day!
